Founded by Jason Warda and his family, The Warda Foundation is a local charitable foundation dedicated to giving back to the community that supports them. Supported by his three local businesses, The Warda Foundation’s primary purpose is to help under privileged children in the Fenton area. The Barn, Whiskey Glasses Saloon, and The Fenton Pub all help to support and host various events put on by the Foundation throughout the year.
During Thanksgiving, the Warda foundation and The Barn team up to put on the Thanksgiving CommUNITY lunch which provides a free Thanksgiving meal to anyone in need, along with fun family activities and donation tables. On that day, guests can stop in for a real restaurant experience, fill a gift bag with any items they may need (clothing, toiletries, winter gear, etc.), and share a fun-filled day with their families’. Every year, we have the privilege to serve 200+ meals to the community!
Another event sponsored by The Warda Foundation is Project Santa, which provides gifts to children in need in an attempt to brighten their holiday season. Local families can reach out to us with their children’s wish lists, which we do our best to accommodate. Each year, approximately 200 children are provided with gifts.
The Warda Foundation also takes a strong stance against drinking and driving, and promotes drinking responsibly. Even though Jason Warda owns and operates three local bars and restaurants, he promotes drinking responsibly, and established The Fenton Bar Hopper Bus. This provides free transportation around the Fenton area, stopping at a handful of bars on the weekends to help fight against drunk driving in our community. Funded by the Warda Foundation, we have been able to make strides towards bettering the Fenton community and creating a safer environment for all of its residents.
The Warda Foundation holds other small events throughout the year. If you have any suggestions or know of any families in need, please feel free to reach out to us. We are always open to other ways to help out in the community!
